Where TST-South Carolina began-The Tobias Hartwell Campus of Learners
Teen Straight Talkwas founded by Roland and Mary Duke in 1989, and began serving in the Trumbull County, Ohio school system. After 22 years of serving in the school system, churches, various agenices as well as 12 years in the Juvenile Detention Center, Mary Duke continues to reach youth with the same truth. Teen Straight Talk's main office is in Vienna, Ohio. In April 2001 TST began serving the Spartanburg, SC community and was incorporated in May 2002, receiving its 501(c)3 non-profit status in August of 2002. TST-SSC has conducted 135 presentations, serving Spartanburg's religious, educational and civic communities through:

TST-South Carolina has served within the US as well as in the Republic of Zimbabwe and in cities of South Africa.

Mary Duke and Pastor Reggie
On April 2, 2011, Mary Duke, Founder and Executive Director of Teen Straight Talk, together with Pastor Reggie Coleman, North Carolina Branch Director, launched the Charlotte Office. The North Carolina team came together for training of Coordinators and Presenters and for prospective Board Members and volunteers to pre-view the curriculum and hear encouraging words from the Teen Straight Talk Founder.
Pastor Reggie brings 15 years of ministry to Teen Straight Talk as Director of Adult Discipleship for Central Church of God in Charlotte. As Director of Campus Street Family Training Center, also located in Charlotte, he and wife Frances have served youth and their families over the past nine years.
Pastor Reggie has an extensive background in discipleship training and has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. International missions have included places such as India, Panama, Mexico and Africa. A trip to Israel is planned for November.

Robert and Donna Toland
In partnership with Look Unto the Hills, LLC, a networking company led by Robert and Donna Toland, Teen Straight Talk has expanded its South Carolina office to Laurens and surrounding areas. The purpose of Look Unto the Hills, LLC is to connect organizations and businesses with one another for the purpose of collaborating on ways to serve and strengthen families. By, strengthening the family, the community is strengthened. Robert and Donna are recently trained TST abstinence educators.
No one knows the needs of today’s families better than Donna Toland, a Guardian Ad Litem. Her experience as a paralegal and advocate for children helped to establish the mission of the business: To assist in the rebuilding of families and community.
