Teen Straight Talk, Spartanburg would like to give attention to the 50 % plus number of students in our nation who have not engaged in sexual intercourse! Your decision to abstain is a positive contribution to our current society. Abstinence from all forms of sexual behavior until married takes conviction and commitment. We believe in you and encourage your decision to remain abstinent, not only for your sake, but for the sake of your future mate, children and community. At Teen Straight Talk - SSC, we care about our youth reaching their God-given potential and personal goals. We care about their health and about each family member living life to its fullest without the physical, emotional, social, spiritual and financial consequences of sexual activity outside of marriage.
As Christian adults and youth, we are concerned about the spiritual well-being of the family and about any negative impact of culture upon the family and its children. We receive invitations to share God's plan for love, sex and marriage from within our state, from across the U.S. and internationally.
Using age-appropriate curriculum, our trained coordinators conduct presentations for children, teens and college students. Workshops are designed for parents, educators and singles. The benefits of abstinence and damaging effects of sexual choices upon the individual, their present and future family, and, upon their community are clearly demonstrated. All curricula are contained in multi media presentations accompanied with interactive, thought provoking exercises. Using the platform of sexual purity, we explore:
Building upon the foundation of truth-Biblical truth, to promote sexual abstinence
Core beliefs that drive behavior and form personal and family values
Healthy relationships

The Spartanburg Christian Community Foundation has awarded Teen Straight Talk funding to conduct a Living Out the Truth 2009 conference for adults and youth. Dates and times will be announced in the coming weeks. Our thanks go out to the Spartanburg Christian Community Foundation for making the Men's Accountability Project and the Awakening Da Truth events possible. Plans are underway to continue the men's project through future events.
